The Mumbai Police have swung into action shortly after two armed assailants opened gunfire outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan‘s Bandra residence. According to video footage from the scene, Mumbai Police ACP and Encounter Specialist Daya Nayak, were spotted arriving at the actor’s residence to inspect the scene.
The incident, which unfolded early Sunday morning, prompted swift action from law enforcement agencies, with security being beefed up at Galaxy Apartments where the actor resides with his parents.
Following reports of gunshots fired outside Khan’s home, Nayak, known for his role in several high-profile encounters, was seen arriving at the scene where the forensic and ballistics team had already collected the necessary evidence and taken photographs of the bullet marks left on the walls of the actor’s home and the gate.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the neighbourhood and the actor’s large fandom, prompting concerns about his safety, despite having Y+ security.

According to reports, police are now going through CCTV video footage to nab the two unidentified individuals on a motorbike, who were captured fleeing the spot.

Salim Khan and Salman himself have been receiving death threats, most notably from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang

. The actor has received multiple threats over the past year, including a letter, warning of an assassination plot similar to that of Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala.

After the threats, Salman was granted Y+ security. In February 2024, the security cover was extended to his family members as well.
