Alia Bhatt has spoken about her experiences as a parent alongside her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, emphasizing that despite their privileged background and access to assistance, they still face challenges in dividing responsibilities. She expressed constant concern, acknowledging that balancing parental duties isn’t always straightforward for them.
In an interview with CNBC TV 18, Alia Bhatt mentioned that she refrains from offering parenting advice because she believes that each person’s journey is unique.She highlighted her privileged background, noting that she has the means to afford assistance when needed. Alia explained that she and her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, made a decision early on to ensure that one of them was always available for their daughter, Raha, by dividing their roles accordingly. They alternate responsibilities based on their travel schedules, ensuring that one parent is present with Raha at all times. Additionally, they have supportive grandparents who are willing to assist whenever necessary.

She expressed that finding a balance is an ongoing challenge. Alia acknowledged the longstanding tradition in India where both men and women have raised children, guiding them to adulthood. She said, “To be honest with you, the balance is never going to be easy. Women and men in our country have worked for years and have brought up kids, and kids have grown up and have become their own people. But, as a parent or a mother, you are always worried and nervous about whether you are making the right decision or not. I think the day I became a mother, I opened up my life to worrying non-stop, so I am always worrying, and I am just comfortable with worrying. All I can say is that I do my best and leave everything to the rest.”
