The awaited crime seriesGangnam B-Side‘, previously known as ‘Bulk’, has unveiled more details about its storyline and stellar cast, including Ji Chang Wook, Ha Yun Kyung, and Jo Woo Jin. Set against the backdrop of the Gangnam district at night, ‘Gangnam B-Side’ follows the journey of an elite detective, a determined prosecutor, and a mysterious broker as they unite forces to confront the dark forces lurking in the shadows of the city.
Directed by Park Noo Ri, known for his work on the film ‘Money’, the series is set to deliver a gripping narrative filled with suspense and action. Of particular note is the reunion of Ji Chang Wook and Jo Woo Jin, who previously shared the screen in the thrilling drama ‘Hard Hit’.
Jo Woo Jin takes on the role of Kang Dong Woo, the elite detective who finds himself demoted overnight. Known for his unwavering determination, Kang Dong Woo becomes entangled in an unexpected incident that challenges his resolve.
Ji Chang Wook steps into the shoes of Yoon Gil Ho, a mysterious broker with a firm grip on the underworld of Gangnam. Living on the fringes of society, Yoon Gil Ho navigates the dark underbelly of the city to ensure his survival. Ji Chang Wook is set to undergo a transformation to portray this complex character.
Ha Yun Kyung, recognized for her standout performances in ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ and ‘Hospital Playlist’, portrays Min Seo Jin, a junior prosecutor driven solely by ambition. Graduating from a national university in the countryside, Min Seo Jin forges ahead in her career with boldness, despite lacking influential connections. ‘Gangnam B-Side’ is scheduled for release in the latter part of 2024.
